The amazingly creative composer and conductor SANTIAGO VAZQUEZ will be touring in Europe in may 2016. Sysmo invites him to give a 2 days masterclass for all musicians in Brussels. ►►►The masterclass workshop is an intensive introduction to the language « Rhythm with Signs », created and developed by the Argentinian composer and multi-instrumentist Santiago Vazquez for the purpose of rhythmic collective improvisation. Santiago Vazquez will go through various aspects of rhythm and put them in practice within group improvisation. SUBJECTS : - Heterophony. - Claves (Mussato Clave Theory and Vazquez’s variations)- Section language in relation to the clave, the beat and the subdivision.- Irregular measures.- Irregular subdivisions.- Polyrhythms.- Augmentations and diminutions. - Rhythmic modulations and multi tempos. - Conducting techniques.- Additive measures.- Displacements by addition / subtraction.   FOR WHO ? Amateurs, semi-professionals and professionals. Percussions AND all instruments. The participant must have the following skills to join :- Good rhythm reading skills. - Playing the instrument without looking at it.- Scale and modes basic knowledge. ►►►DATES : 7 & 8 may, 10h to 18h.►►►LOCATION : Brussels, location to be confirmed. ►►►PRICE : 110€ per person for 2 days. www.weezevent.com/worbru160507FREE ENTRANCE FOR all participants to the masterclass to the concert of Sysmo on may 5th at Atelier 210.
